6 Month Update

Sorry we have been away for so long! Sully had his half birthday yesterday and his 6 month checkup today. He is a growing boy!! He weighs 17 lb 3 oz and is 26 inches long! This is great news and the Dr. said he looks great! He got 3 shots today and was not happy about that AT ALL!! Bless his heart, he literally screamed for about five minutes....it was the worst thing ever and I felt terrible!! Thankfully he went right back to his happy self and has been great all day!

We have started him on solids, our schedule consists of feeding him once a day for 3 days each week and we introduce a new one each week. This has worked out wonderfully and thankfully he loves everything! So far we have tried green beans, squash, sweet potatoes and peas....no allergic reactions either!! YAY!!! We are not doing the rice cereal that much anymore but we plan on rotating everything once we make sure he does not have any allergies. Publix has BOGO on Earth's Best 2nd foods so we stocked up on them today and got some more Gerber organic 1st foods too. Originally I wanted to make all his food but have decided to only make certain things when they are in season. Also we will be giving him the veggies we eat since we know they are delicious!

As of today he is sitting up by himself and can hold himself up on his hands and knees!! We have only had a few official crawls but for the most part he does a combination of the army crawl and roll to get somewhere.
