Daddy Day Care

Sully got to spend some quality time with Daddy yesterday while I went in to the office for a little while. (will post details on my new job later) Of course Sully was an Angel and didn't seem to miss me at all...which was a little disappointing! I was super worried about leaving them alone, not sure who I was more worried about though...but they both did a great job! The bottle was a huge hit as you can see in the picture below....

Josh texted me during the day with updates and pictures and I have to say I was impressed.....he was able to get a lot done around the house while I was gone! Today I went into town for a little while and left them alone again....Josh was not so lucky this time and called me to tell me "hurry every chance you get" because Sully was not happy at all!

Tonight while we were talking he told me how much he enjoyed his alone time with the little man which melts my heart!! So from now on I get to take some adult only shopping trips, more specifically I get to go to the grocery store and fill the WHOLE buggy up with groceries!!! You know you are getting old when this excited you. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Sully's Dedication and TEETHING!!

We had Sully dedicated Easter Sunday and I wanted to post some pics of our handsome little man.....hope you all have a great week!! Sully is in his crib for the second night in a row, he even went to bed an hour earlier than normal tonight!! Yay for mommy and daddy time!! Plus, we think he is teething...he is showing all the signs and we have talked to numerous mommies who all confirm. Our normally happy baby has turned into a fussy little guy for a few hours a day. He is also waking up at 4am to eat now...boy I sure did like that uninterrupted sleep!! He puts everything in his mouth, including my hands and clamps down on my fingers so hard it hurts! The amount of drool he produces is amazing and he can blow some major bubbles!! We have been soothing him with teething rings and anything we can to make him feel better. I am hoping by my next post we will be done with this whole teething thing for now, but I highly doubt it!

Happy 3 Months Little Man!

So I am a few days late, but Sully turned 3 months on the 11th. He is such a happy baby and makes being his mommy so much fun! So here is what he has been up to....Lately he loves his feet! He is always trying to grab them and will stare at them for hours!! He loves blowing bubbles and putting anything and everything in his mouth, which leads me to believe he may be teething soon...Yikes! He tries his best to sit up on his own but obviously he is still not developed enough to stay steady. He constantly wants to go and loves checking out his surroundings. I have been told on many occasions that he is very alert for his age and believe me...he is! He loves flirting with the ladies and I can already tell he will be a heart breaker!! His eyes are still blue and his hair is light brown and getting thicker finally. He loves watching tv, which is kind of scary for us, but it calms him down when he gets upset so we will let him enjoy it for now. His favorites are the Praise Baby dvds and Yo Gabba Gabba. He is grabbing at everything in sight and has a tight little grip...he can hold on to his rattles and toys like a chamP! We put him in his jumperoo last week and he absolutely loves it, only in 20-30 minute increments though.

Every day is an adventure with Sully and he is growing and changing quicker than I can blink! I know I say it all the time but we are so thankfully that God gave us such a perfect angel to watch over and love. Without him our life would not be complete. Josh and I constantly ask each other what we did before Sully came along and we honestly can't remember. Nothing has ever made us so happy!!!

Sully is 3 months!!!

Time for a big decision!

So, our original plan was for me to stay home with the little man. However after a visit to my old job, I may be going back sooner than we had originally planned. There are still details to be worked out but I am really excited about the possibility of working with some of my favorite people again! Staying at home with Sully has been amazing and I am so thankful for the chance to do it for so long but I think going back to work will be good for both of us. He needs to be around other children and will learn some things he never could staying home with me. It won't be for a while but we are starting preparations today.  Since he currently refuses a bottle, this will be tough on both of us! I am very fortunate to have such a great experience with breastfeeding and I feel very blessed to have such a healthy baby because of it! By the way he is up to 14 pounds...can you believe it? He will be double his birth weight very soon!! Also he is sleeping from 9pm-7am, I woke up at 5:50am out of habit and he was sound asleep still! As usual he is such a happy baby.... smiling, cooing and laughing all the time. I thank God every day for giving us such a beautiful and perfect baby boy. It melts my heart to look at him and I tear up just thinking about how lucky we are! Going back to work will be tough but I know that this is the right decision for our family.

We have been super busy the past week with friends visiting and a photo session with Mari Wilkes! She took some gorgeous photos of Sully and I can't wait to share them!! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!
